There are two ways to register a drone: online and by mail. If you register online, you open an account, apply for registration, pay the fee, and then display the assigned registration number on the aircraft to complete the process.
To fly a drone weighing 100g or more outdoors, each aircraft must be registered with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Registration applications can be made either online or via paper documents.
The process for online registration application is as follows:
1: Create an account on the drone registration system
First, create an account on the drone registration system provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The link to the registration system is here.
This site can be used not only for registration but also for subsequent information changes, so drone owners should make active use of it. First, click either the "Create Account" button for individual or corporate users, and on the next page, read and agree to the terms of service. After reading all the terms of service, you can proceed to the next page by clicking the "Proceed (I understand)" button.
On the next page, you will enter your personal information. Once your personal information has been entered, you will receive an account creation completion notification at your registered email address. The email will contain the ID required for login, so be sure to record it.
After confirming the ID in the notification email, log in to the Unmanned Aircraft Registration site using the ID and the password you entered as personal information. Once logged in, select "New Registration" and then proceed with identity verification. There are three types of identity verification methods, and the payment amount differs for each, so please be careful. The following are the fees for the first aircraft.

Next, apply for aircraft registration. The information required for the application is as follows:
3: Pay the fee
Once the registration application is complete, you will then pay the fee. You will receive a completion email, so please proceed with payment according to the method described in it.
4: Display the assigned registration number on the aircraft.
The procedure itself is complete at this point, but there is still one important step remaining. That is, displaying the issued "registration number (accurately called registration code)" on the aircraft. Be careful, as not displaying it on the body will result in a violation. While it is permissible to write it directly with a marker, we also recommend using stickers or decals with the registration number.

After mailing the application form, pay the fee using the storage institution number, payment number, and confirmation number sent by mail, then display the registration number sent by email on the main unit to complete the process.
