Notice of Delivery Delays for Mail Items to Europe and Africa
Japan Post has issued a notice regarding delivery delays for mail items addressed to Europe and Africa. Customers who are planning to use Japan Post services are kindly asked to be aware that delays or possible returns may occur.
The following is the announcement issued by Japan Post.
Due to the recent deterioration of the situation in the Middle East and the expansion of its impact, restrictions have been imposed on the loading of mail and cargo bound for that region. As a result, air and sea transport routes to and from surrounding regions, including Europe and Africa, are currently experiencing significant congestion. Consequently, deliveries are taking longer than usual.
Depending on future developments, mail items that have already been accepted may have to be returned to the sender.
